ELAN System 12 with 8 Main Zones and 5 Sub Zones controlled by 8 Touch Screen LCD Wall Panels. There are 8 set sources and 1 changeable source. Sources include an ELAN VIA DJ music server with 4 outputs allowing 4 independent selections of music to be played simultaneously in any of the zones. The music server features include mass storage, the creation of playlists for parties etc, retrieves album, art and track information from the Internet and has a user freindly menu. Other sources are Sky, Freeview, FM Tuner, DAB Tuner and an aux source. All sources can be accessed and controlled using the touch screen wall panels. Video switching is taken care of by the Elan system 12 making for a seemless switching from one source to another. The door station when in use mutes the system in all zones and the door bell can be heard through the system speakers. whilst the wall panels switch to the door camera to enable the customer to view who is at the door from any one of the wall panels. The speakers used are ELAN In-Ceiling Speakers. Lutron Lighting has been installed in three areas allowing the customer the setting and recall of several custom lighting scenes. In this case the customer opted to control the Lutron seperately from the Elan system. However the Lighting can easily be integrated with the system allowing the selection of scenes to be done from the LCD panels. This does away with the need to have the Lutron panel in the room and can be sited with the main equipment thus freeing up wall space and making for more of a minimal look. All the cabling had been done whilst renovation was in progress and terminates at a discreet equipment location. Extra cabling has been installed to allow for future proofing and expansion of the system .
